Kyle & Natalie
25th July 2025 Welcome Tea
26th July 2025 Wedding Day
Just 40 minutes north of Paris, Château de Saint-Martin du Tertre is a pretty 19th-century estate, often called an “improved twin” of Château de Maisons-Laffitte.
Built between 1876 and 1882 for the Duke of Massa by architect Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur, the Château has a timeless charm that has made it the backdrop for Yves Saint Laurent and Zara Home photoshoots. It absolutely vibes with that effortlessly chic frenchy elegance.
This painting of Château de Saint-Martin du Tertre was created with love by my wonderful sister, Valery. She added some sweet personal touches—like the clock showing the exact time Kyle and I got married and our courthouse wedding date subtly placed on the stairs.

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Please complete each field on the RSVP by very latest 20th March 2025 so we can make sure everything is perfect for your arrival.

Our Story
A love that met in Lisbon, blossomed in Milan, first married on Ærø Island, now celebrates in Paris.
It all started in the wild world of crypto conferences. In 2021, Kyle flew to Lisbon for yet another conference, fully expecting to network on steroids as he tends to do, and in the process, he met me, Natalie and everything took an unexpected turn.
We had been chatting online for a few weeks after being introduced by mutual work friends, and when we finally met in person, well, let’s just say things didn’t go as smoothly as planned. Kyle nearly fell down the stairs when he opened the door to greet me, and I showed up a very sweaty mess thanks to Lisbon’s endless hills. Not exactly the most glamorous start, but something clicked right away.
What was supposed to be a quick networking meeting turned into an 8-hour adventure. We skipped the conference entirely and wandered around Lisbon, listening to street music, sipping wine, eating too many pasteles de nata, and laughed non-stop. I didn’t realize it at the time, but it had pretty much turned into a date. At the very least, I knew I’d made a great friend—but, clearly, it turned into so much more.
After an intense few weeks in Lisbon and Milan (yes, Kyle followed me to Italy, bold move, right?), we knew this was different. By the time we were in Miami for yet another conference, it was obvious we were head over heels. Every time his name popped up on my phone, I couldn’t help but smile.
Fast forward a few months through a lot of plane tickets, countries, and sleepless nights texting across time zones, and we found ourselves back in Lisbon, where we shared our first kiss outside of the airport and we were obsessed with each other. So obsessed, in fact, that in November 2022, we snuck off to a tiny, romantic Danish island and said “I do” in an intimate ceremony on a barely inhabited slice of paradise.
Now, more than three years later—after meeting families, moving continents, countless adventures, and welcoming our first addition to the family, our corgi puppy Cheddar—we’re ready to celebrate with you and we are beyond excited to keep building this incredible life together!

Our Legacy

Our coat of arms is more than just a symbol—it’s a reflection of our story, our shared heritage, and the life we are building together. Designed in collaboration with a heraldry expert, each element has been carefully chosen to represent who we are and what we value as a couple.
At its core:
💛 A lion, representing my Dutch heritage, embodies courage and strength
💛 A Chinese dragon, honoring Kyle’s roots, symbolizes protection, good fortune, and power
💛 An Eurasian swallow, known for its ability to travel vast distances yet always return home
💛 A star, held by both the lion and the dragon, with the swallow perched atop, representing our shared life in the US.
At the heart of our coat of arms is our motto, “Resilience and Optimism”, a guiding principle Kyle and I choose to live by every day.
Engraved onto our wedding signet rings, it's more than just an emblem. We think of it as a timeless symbol of our love, the life we are building together, and the legacy we are creating by uniting the Wang and Salemink families.

Where to stay:
We recommend that guests stay in Paris for the wedding weekend. The Welcome Tea will be held in Paris, and on the wedding day, guests can take an Uber or drive to the venue. After the wedding, we will provide a shuttle bus back to Paris in the evening for convenience.
While it is possible to stay in Saint-Martin-du-Tertre, it’s a small town with limited accommodations, so we don’t highly recommend it. Paris will offer the best options for hotels, dining, and transportation.
